Loved1Remembered.com chosen for 2009 Military Salute Project

Trumbull, CT — March 26, 2009 — A local Trumbull business has been chosen to provide silk flower memorial arrangements for the 2009 Remember the Fallen Military Tribute. Loved1Remembered LLC, founded in 2006, provides handmade silk flower memorial arrangements to cemeteries, mausoleums, public and private memorials, roadside memorials, funerals and more. “We have created red, white and blue silk flower memorial cemetery cones displaying the American flag for the annual Military Salute Project.” says Moya Waters, owner of Loved1Remembered.com. “It is an honor to be chosen to provide memorial flowers to our fallen heroes. Each cemetery cone is made with heavy hearts as we know they will be placed on the final resting places of soldiers who have sacrificed everything for us. I hope this tribute brings some comfort to their families and friends. We can never forget these soldiers; their lives were the cost of our freedom. They paid the ultimate sacrifice for this country.” In early 2008, the Military Salute Project purchased two silk flower memorial wreaths from Loved1Remembered LLC that were placed at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial during the 2008 Honor & Remember Ride To Washington. Jeff Seeber, the Military Salute Project Director, contacted Moya Waters when the group began planning for the 2009 Remember The Fallen Tribute. Loved1Remembered.com offered to donate the cost of their production time "as our contribution to such a great cause” resulting in a significant price discount for the silk flower memorial arrangements.

The Military Salute Project will conduct 80 graveside visitations in Minnesota and western Wisconsin this spring and summer to honor veterans who have fought and died during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The graveside visitations were the idea of a small group of Vietnam veterans. While in Washington D.C. to take part in the national Honor & Remember Ride, they visited Arlington National Cemetery where they placed memorials on the graves of six Minnesota veterans. They took photographs of each of these graves and loaded them onto their website, www.militarysalute.com. The response from families of fallen soldiers was overwhelming and each year more families from Minnesota request the visit and placement of memorials on their loved ones graves by the members of the Military Salute Project. Jeff Seeber, the Military Salute Project Director, said “We're hearing from additional families almost every day who plan to attend. The Tribute is taking on a life of its own”. Regarding the awareness of the annual tribute, Jeff says “We now have the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs spreading the word as well as numerous military and patriotic organizations throughout the state. We never expected it would turn into what it's become.” They expect approximately 125 motorcycles, support vehicles and a police escort to participate as part of their Armed Forces Day Ride on May 16. Members of the Minnesota Bugles Across America, the Minnesota Patriot Guard and Troop 60 of the Boy Scouts of America have volunteered to escort the families, sound Taps and place flowers at each graveside.

For more information on Loved1Remembered LLC:
Moya Waters, 203-380-9797, Info@loved1remembered.com
http://www.loved1remembered.com

For more information on 2009 Military Salute Project:
http://militarysalute.proboards.com

For more information on the 2009 Remember The Fallen Tribute:
http://home.att.net/~militarysalute2/

It seems like we all had a very long winter, with crazy weather, continuous bad news and the daily concerns of our crumbling economy. It has touched everyone. But spring signifies new life, and with that, new hope. We must remind ourselves that “This too shall pass” (a quote taken from a story of King Solomon and a phrase once used by Abraham Lincoln). We know better days are ahead. We hope our customers are looking toward a brighter future too.

As we welcome in the new season we are ready to assist you in creating special tributes for your lost loved ones. Now is the time to add color and special accents to their final resting places. Choose a springtime bouquet of colorful mixed flowers, or a cemetery saddle of bright tulips and hyacinth. How about a cemetery cone full of beautiful daffodils and daisies? We have many seasonal wreaths to choose from too. These silk flower arrangements are weather and fade resistant, they’ll look like fresh flowers throughout the spring and into summer too. We have items available in many price ranges.
Remember a Loved One during the Holidays

The holiday season is a difficult time for people who have lost a loved one, especially if this is the first holiday after the death of that loved one. Plan a special remembrance in their honor and make it a yearly tradition with your family. Many families have holiday traditions already in place and may find some of these traditions too painful to continue. Why not create a new, special holiday tradition in memory of the loved one who has died. This can be helpful for family and friends.

When you and your family are deciding how to honor your lost loved ones memory remember that everyone has different ways of coping with the same loss. Share your thoughts with each other on different coping styles and what will work for everyone. Choose a tradition you all feel comfortable with.

Here are some ideas:

At the start of your holiday meal offer a toast, recite a poem or prayer or have family members share a special memory.
Express your feelings by writing in a journal or write a letter to your lost loved one. If you are comfortable with that written expression, share it with your family and friends.
Plant their favorite tree or dedicate a bench or plaque in their memory this holiday season.
Hang a stocking for the loved one and let family and friends include notes of remembrance that can be shared.
Hang a special ornament on the tree.
Light a candle in your home or at church during the holiday celebrations.
Donate money in their memory to their favorite charity, animal shelter, etc.
Place a memorial ad in the newspaper or add a memorial announcement in your church bulletin.
Gather your family and friends and share favorite stories and memories about that person.
Share photographs and videos from past holiday celebrations.

Many people may feel they should not celebrate the holiday season out of respect for their lost loved one. Realize it is alright to feel moments of joy and happiness this holiday season, its not disrespectful to the loved one who has died but rather a chance to reflect on their memory, cherish the memories and start the healing process. After all, that is what they would want for you; they would want you to keep on living your life and be joyful.
